Open Source Video: Using Kaltura with Drupal

This session will cover the basics of setting up a video portal using Drupal and Kaltura. (We'll also briefly touch on other competitive options).

Kaltura handles transcoding, streaming, sharing/embedding, and even editing / remixing of videos. Like Drupal, Kaltura is an open source framework. The Kaltura Drupal module can work with either Kaltura's Software-as-a-Service (hosted) edition or their on-premises community edition.

We'll cover Drupal 6 and 7, with a focus on 7.

I've marked it as a beginner level talk because while some of the setup details are quite technical, this will not be a deep dive into customization or extension of the basic Kaltura module.
