The Panopoly Drupal Distribution: Panels on steroids!
Join me for a whirlwind tour of a distribution based on Panolopy, an all-you-can-eat Panels distribution "designed to be both a general foundation for site building and a base framework upon which to build other Drupal distributions". Beginners will see why they should consider using it, intermediate users will wish they were using it and advanced users will struggle harder than ever to maintain their justifications for resisting it. :-P If you tried Panels a long time ago but found some reason to dislike/dismiss it, you might want to take another look.
A few years back, I did a session called "Panels 3: An overview of one of the most powerful modules out there" which was well received and the video was the most popular we've had so far. It is time for an update.
Drag-n-drop panes, powerful Views integration, separate frontend/backend configuration options, content previews, fine grained permissions, bundle defaults with node-level overrides, simplified navigation and the "distribution-framework" orientation are just some of the reasons you should discover Panopoly if you haven't already.
