Rules rule!
Drupal biggest strength *and* biggest weakness is its infinite flexibility. While you can do anything with it, you *always* have to customize it to match the client's needs and workflow. Trying to do so by plugging into Drupal's numerous and increasingly complex APIs can be a daunting task for even experienced programmers. Even if they succeed, this will consume a lot resources and create yet more code to maintain. Moreover, this isn't even an option for the typical power user who is limited to patching something together from contributed modules. Fortunately, there's a very cool alternative.
The Rules module provides a graphical interface for defining custom interactivity and workflows that plug into all the big building blocks of the Drupalsphere. It can allow you to achieve in minutes what would otherwise require hours upon hours of programming, or simply be deemed unattainable by non-programmers.
This module has something for everybody. It liberates programmers and empowers the rest of us. Come find out how this module can change your Drupal life.
