Information
DrupalCamp Montreal 2009 is the 2nd annual conference organized by the Drupal community in Montreal and beyond. The purpose of this and most DrupalCamps is to bring together like-minded members of the Drupal community to share knowledge, network, socialize, drink beer, etc.
The first DrupalCamp in Montreal was a success with about 60 participants coming together around an open-space meeting format. This year, however, we expect attendance to run from 100 to 200 and will be augmenting the open format with some predefined tracks of sessions.
The September Drupal Meet-up started with a segment dedicated to Drupal Camp Planning and, with over 20 people at one point, was the biggest meet-up since the First Montreal Meet-up back in 2006.
Sessions
McGill University has generously donated four rooms for sessions. The top 22 sessions proposed before the end of the day on October 9th will be scheduled into the two largest rooms. The remaining two rooms will be open for BoFs and/or an open-space schedule decided upon during the camp’s opening plenary. One room could be opened for a code sprint on Sunday if there is enough interest.
This is OUR community camp and it is up to US to pick the sessions we want to have. If you see a session you like vote on it! If you don’t see a session that you want to have, volunteer to run it! (Or find someone else who will.) If you have an awesome idea at the last minute, bring it up when the camp starts and organize a BoF!
The official schedule will be posted on October 10th, which gives you an entire week to decide what you want to attend and what BoFs you want to propose.
